[4.9-4.15]
Apologies for the very late newsletter this week. We’re working on a big shift toward a better setup and still tinkering with the process. Things just got away from us this time, with big apologies to the many amazing nights we already missed this week. We’re hoping to share some good news very soon about where the newsletter is going—not away, just somewhere better! And if you’re ever wondering where the listings are, just check the site. It’s always updated, email or not.
Whether or not you happened to catch the dance performances at the 12x12 showcase on Sunday, come back to the studio to move your own body! This session begins with movement instruction and live flute with Shape Language, followed by 90 minutes of free space soundtracked by Jalpari on the decks, and finishing with a sound bath in the form of a live set from San Huan.
4.10 | Timedream and KG will Present Sounds
Salt and pepper. Strawberries and cream. Timedream (aka Glen Goetze) and KG. Some things just go together! This is the third Present Sounds pairing these founders, respectively of Patience/Impatience Records and LSD. KG says that Glen helped crystalize the concept of “horizontal music,” which is what Present Sounds focuses on—”the types of sounds that are best consumed in a horizontal position and/or a deeply relaxed state.” Return to the source!
4.11 | Sweater on Polo, Eden Aurelius, Solpara, Päascal + Gunnar&Luke, Beat Detectives, YRZ
My eyes glazed over a little at this lineup—or maybe better to say my brain melted—because it's hard to comprehend getting to hear all these incredible performers in a single night. The first four on the lineup bring live hardware sets, while the final three are in DJ mode. Befitting of the changing season and wildly inconsistent weather this week, the sets will range in tone from dance bangers to transportive downtempo soundscapes.
4.12 | Fiber Vol. 7: aka-Sol, Nema Hän, Fuge
Fiber as a series is inspired by block parties and other community gatherings, inviting performers to share music that can bring us together outside of a dance party. For tonight, the performers draw from recent travels: aka-Sol and Nemo Hän have just returned from Ecuador and Mexico, while Fuge is fresh off Carnaval in Bahia.
4.15 | Ben Seretan, Gardener + Alien D, 3 People, DJ Stepdad
Curated by Ted Davis (that's DJ Stepdad), this is a lineup composed of friends, for a night intended for sharing with friends. Ben Seretan and Gardener deliver live ambient, with Alien D, the duo 3 People, and Ted weaving in DJ sets throughout the night.

Hello Kyle,
I've been hearing good things about your space; An old comrade, Joshua Fried, and others (Hans Tammen) just spoke highly…I’m looking to put together a performance of “experimental, ambient, with a twist / improvisation “ evening with some well known cohorts
towards the end of May (25,26, poss 29); would it be okay to send forward more details, ie: "A Proposal”?
Regards,
Andrew Neumann
